SHENANDOAH JUNCTION — In the first game, Jefferson High pulled away late to clinch a 9-7 victory over Morgantown on Saturday.
The game was tied at six when Chase Anderson drew a bases-loaded walk to put Jefferson ahead.
Taylor Tennant got the win for Jefferson, pitching just 2/3 of an inning with two strikeouts and allowing zero hits and runs. Charlie Petty got the loss for Morgantown. Colton Matthews started the game for the Mohigans. He allowed nine hits and six runs in just three innings.
The Mohigans (3-1) collected nine hits in the loss. Caleb Taylor and Quinton Smith each hit home runs. Taylor finished the game 3-for-4 at the plate, leading Morgantown offensively.

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION — The Mohigans scored on an error in the first inning and Ethan Smith hit a home run in the second.
Morgantown scored six runs in the sixth inning. Caleb Taylor and Zach Owens each drove in runs.
Carter Patrick earned the win for the Mohigans. He pitched six innings, allowing one run on three hits and recording six strikeouts. Morgantown collected 13 hits. Taylor finished the game 3-for-4.
The Mohigans will play again at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at Wheeling Park.
