CHARLESTON — The Morgantown girls’ tennis team defeated Charleston Catholic, 6-1, in the season opener.
In singles, the Mohigans won all four sets — Emme McKnight (8-0), Mackenzie Sorton won (8-6), Isabella Mascari (8-3) and Ashalia Aggarwal (8-6).
In doubles, Morgantown took two of three sets. The team of McKnight and Sorton won (8-2), the team of Mascari and Kassie Regules won (8-3). The Mohigans forfeit the third doubles set.
