Eugene “Joker” Francis Mitter, 64, of Masontown, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Pine Ridge Nursing Home.
He was born in Grafton, on Oct. 27, 1954, a son of the late Earl and Betty (Bolyard) Mitter.
Joker enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, fishing and camping. He was a graduate of Newburg High School and was employed by MS&T rafting company for 20 years and S&W Industries as a truck driver for 16 years.
He is survived by two sons, Jeremy Mitter and wife, Betsy, of Masontown, and Brandon Mitter and wife, Christina, of Newburg; a daughter, Christina Nicole Raines and husband, Justin, of Masontown; two grandchildren, Brandon Mitter II and Ryder Raines; two stepgrandchildren, Kaylee Henigin and John Miklos; and two brothers, Aaron Mitter and wife, Virginia, of Newburg, and Brian Mitter and wife, Georgianna, of Masontown.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorsey Harvella (Cobb) Mitter on Nov. 25, 2013; and a brother, Clyde Mitter.
Friends may call at Field Funeral Home, in Masontown, from 4-8 p.. Wednesday and Thursday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, with the Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, in Masontown.
