Barbara Ann Talbott Jamison, age 90, of River Road, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019, at her home. She was born November 4, 1928, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Dr. Samuel Ford Talbott and Orza Wimer Talbott.
Barbara was a gradutate of Morgantown High School, class of 1946, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, talking on the phone, politics, and socializing with family and friends. Her favorite place was sitting on her porch, in the warmth of spring and summer, appreciating her panoramic views. Barbara also liked dining out and in her younger years was an active participate in the Westover Rotary Club.
Barbara is survived by her son, Jack E. “Jay” Jamison Jr. and wife Cindy, of Morgantown; daughters, Jill Shamberger and husband David, of Fredrick, Md. and Judy Clemmer and husband Kevin, of Mount Sidney, Va.; grandchildren, Jodi Beard and husband Shawn, Jennifer Sparkman and husband Chris, Julie Mason, Catie Chalmers and husband Lee, Suzanne High and husband Jeff, Steven Shamberger and wife Sarah May, Kyler Clemmer, Kamden Clemmer; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Jamison; and extended family members, Mike Wallo and Lorraine Murphy.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Barbara’s caregivers, Mandy, Kathy, Linda, Betty Jo, Jesse, and Allen for their special love and care.
Family and friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Rd., Westover, from 2 – 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, and from 10 a.m. on Monday, until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Brian Long officiating. Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the familly requests that donations be made in WV Caring Hospice, 3437 University Ave. Morgantown, WV 26505 or the WVU Foundation, 1 Waterfront Place, 7th Floor, P.0. 1650, Morgantown, WV 26507 in memory of Barbara Jamison, for the Rockefeller Neurosciences Insitute at WVU for Alzheimers Research.
