MORGANTOWN — It was all in a day’s work Thursday at Cheat Lake Elementary School.
The school’s annual career fair featured a neurologist, a baker, a forensic scientist, an oil and gas worker and a cybersecurity specialist — along with a bunch of other occupational points-in-between.
“We had a pretty good cross-section,” said Michele Brown, the Cheat Lake counselor who planned the event.
While Brown always encourages students to go to college for professional advancement, she also tells them about those careers that don’t require that traditional four-year avenue.
At the career fair Thursday, Cheat Lake’s students did the job they were tasked with quite well, their counselor said.
“They were very attentive and asked great questions.”
