Nancy Jean Davich Barber, age 58, of the Pisgah community near Bruceton Mills, gained her angel wings early Thursday morning, March 7, 2019, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, in Morgantown.
She was born January 17, 1961, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late John and Mary Jane (Barker) Davich.
Nancy will be lovingly remembered by one son, Jeremy Barber (Tonya); her two granddaughters, Jocelynn and Brooklynn; her siblings, Claude Barker (Liz), Doris Fowler (Charlie), Charles Neville, Jr. (Deanna), George Potts (Marsha), Anthony Davich (Brenda), Jerry Davich (Cindy), Martha Corley and Randy Davich (Carla); her long-time companion, Gene Gribble and his two children, Kirsten and Gina Gribble; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was met in Heaven by a daughter, Sherry Barber; and a brother, Robert Davich.
Nancy was well loved by many. She gained many friends by working several years in the cafeteria of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. She loved laughing and having fun. She enjoyed bowling, camping, time at the beach, and spending time with her canine companions, Bailey and Milo. She dearly loved her family, especially time spent with them during family gatherings and cookouts, and cherished the time she had with her grandchildren.
At her request, Nancy has been cremated. A celebration of her life will be held by her family in the spring.
