William A. Castelli, 90, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at his home. William was born July 16, 1928, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
William was a United States Army Veteran and a retired coal miner for Pursglove 15 mine. He was a devoted Christian and attended several churches in the Morgantown area. He was a fun-loving father and grandfather. He was always smiling; he never seemed to have a bad day. He loved the outdoors especially and loved spending time with his family.
William is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Toni Castelli; a daughter, Lisa Castelli and her companion, Tom Hart; a son, Eric Castelli; a daughter-in-law, Darlene Castelli; grandchildren, Brandon Beckner and his wife, Elizabeth, Holly Beckner and her companion, Christian Benson, Andrew Castelli, and Alexis Castelli; a great-granddaughter, Savannah Benson; and several other loving family memebers.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, from noon Saturday, March 9, until the 1:30 p.m. memorial service with Pastor Junius Lewis officiating. Honoring William’s wishes, cremation services were handled by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.
