Richard Daniel “Danny” Mayfield, age 59, of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 18, 2019, at his home.
Danny was born August 21, 1959, in Morgantown, a son of Sally Lee (Reed) Mayfield, who survives him in Morgantown, and the late Clifford Daniel Mayfield.
Survivors include his son, Clifford Daniel Mayfield, of Raleigh, N.C.; his siblings, Kathy Volk, of Washington, Pa., Craig Mayfield and his wife Sherry, of Knoxville, Tenn., Amy Xavier, of Cameron Park, Calif. and Brian Mayfield and his companion Micalla, of Fairmont; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He attended the Morgantown Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses where he was very active both inside the congregation and with the ministry.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Following a private viewing with his immediate family, Danny will be cremated.
Friends may join the family to honor Danny’s life and legacy at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 379 Smithtown Rd., Morgantown, from 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, until the time of the Memorial Service at 3 p.m. officiated by Elder Pat Brady.
