PETERSBURG — The Preston boys’ basketball team caught fire from beyond the arc, making 10 3-pointers in Saturday’s 84-66 win over Petersburg.
The Knights jumped out to a 41-33 halftime lead and never looked back, managing to pad to their lead in the second half.
Corey Pyles led Preston in scoring with 23 points, making five of Preston’s 10 3-pointers. Nick Smith scored 19 points, John Loughrie scored 16 points and Monty Rebelo had 12.
The Knights (5-15) will play again at 7:30 p.m. on Monday against Fairmont Senior.
