MORGANTOWN — Morgantown Police are investigating a stabbing that happened near the Walnut Street Bridge just after midnight Wednesday.
The incident appears to be an isolated one, they said, and there is no threat to the general public.
According to a release issued by the department, officers responded to the call of a reported stabbing at 14 Pietro St. at about 12:08 a.m. When they arrived, they found a victim with four stab wounds, none of which appeared to be life-threatening.
Police said the victim was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment, while officers and detectives continued to follow up on leads and conduct interviews.
