MORGANTOWN — West Virginia men’s basketball players Esa Ahmad and Wesley Harris were dismissed from the team for a violation of athletic department policies, according to a news release from the university.
Ahmad, a senior, played in 112 games in his career, averaging 9.3 points (12 this season) and 4.3 rebounds per game. He was suspended 16 games to begin his junior season in 2017-18 after not meeting NCAA eligibility requirements.
Harris, a junior, played in 59 games the last two seasons after coming from Northeast Mississippi Community College. He averaged 6.3 points (7.9 this season) and 3.9 rebounds per game in this career.
