MORGANTOWN — In a game that featured lots of offense, Kaden Metheny netted 22 points as University outscored Parkersburg, 87-73, on Senior Night.
The Hawks jumped out to an early lead, outscoring Parkersburg 74-44 — making nine 3-pointers in the win.
To add to his 22 points, Metheny also notched eight assists and six steals. Rodney Bucklew and Mike Maumbe achieved a double-double for University (15-3). Bucklew notched 19 points and 18 rebounds, and Maumbe had 14 points and 11 rebounds. K.J. McClurg scored 21 points.
The Hawks will play again ay 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday against Steubenville (Ohio) in the OVAC semifinals.
