FAIRMONT — A grand jury sitting in Marion County this week returned 44 indictments, including five for first-degree murder.
James Ryan Vincent, 30, of Fairmont, David Uphold, 34, of Rivesville, Russell Kirk, 37, of Fairmont, Vernon Carpenter, 42, of Morgantown, and Charles Carpenter, 39, of Shinnston, were each indicted for first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit a felony and malicious assault.
The five are believed to be involved in the September 2018 murder of Fairmont native Luka Grabb, 32.

Corey Logan Hostutler, 23, of Mannington, conspiracy to commit a felony.
Nathaniel David Lewis, Jr., 35, of Fairmont, malicious assualt, burglary.
Densil Alfred Masters, 44, of Carolina, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (methamphetamine), conspiracy to commit a felony.
