CLARKSBURG — Preston jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, defeating Liberty (Harrison) 79-58.
The Mountaineers made a run in the second half to try to make it competitive, but it was too late.
Carsynn Sines led Preston (10-6) in scoring with 17 points. Michelle Thomas was the second-leading scorer with 13, Chesney Manko followed with 11 (making three 3-pointers in the contest) and Breanna Sphar scored 10.
The Knights will play again at 7:30 p.m. on Monday at University.
