SB 394, to allow the state to opt out of federal statute barring convicted drug felons from receiving SNAP benefits. Similar to HB 2459 which is on third reading for passage in the House. Sen Mike Maroney, R-Marshall, co-sponsor.
SB 398, in response to the summer impeachment proceedings regarding overpayment of senior judges called out of retirement into temporary service, clarifies code regarding how they’re paid. Sen. Roman Prezioso, D-Marion, co-sponsor.
SB 399, sets the maximum per diem and annual pay for senior magistrates. Sen. Bob Beach, D-Monongalia, co-sponsor.
SB 403, one sentence: “Any next of kin who is criminally responsible for the death of a relative is prohibited from 1 being involved in the decedent’s burial arrangements.” Sen. Dave Sypolt, R-Preston, lead sponsor.
SB 409, to permit third-party ownership of all renewable and alternative generating facilities. Prezioso, Sypolt, Sen. Randy Smith, R-Tucker, co-sponsors.
