Patty Rose Osborne, 79, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Morgantown, June 16, 1939, daughter to Cecil and Geraldine McCartney Rose.
She worked at Quality Glass Company for nearly 25 years in various positions alongside her husband, Keith Osborne. She later worked in billing for the Glenmark company. Patty, while working full time, still managed to keep a home and loved gardening, sewing and puzzles. Patty was well known to can and preserve the harvest from her luscious gardens each year. Patty was always putting others before herself. There was nothing more important to her than family.
She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Marshall and husband Daniel, of Independence, Rhonda Schmidt and husband John, of Morgantown; two grandchildren, Ethan Daniel and Andrea Brier Marshall, all of Independence; one brother, Richard Rose and wife Julia, of Kan.; and sister, Brenda Rose, of Conn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Geraldine Rose; her husband of 58 years, Keith H. Osborne and one sister, Alma Blosser.
Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 4 – 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, and from 10 a.m. on Tuesday until time of services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Meadows. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff of WV Caring Hospice and 7 West of J.W. Ruby Hospital for the excellent care and compassion to Miss Patty over the last several days.
