FAIRMONT — University’s wrestling team finished fifth out of 32 teams in the Winner’s Choice tournament in Fairmont.
Seven of University’s wrestlers finished top eight in their respected weight class. Jacob Simpson (132) finished second, Matthew Simpson (120) and Braeden Pauley (152) finished fourth, Brise Bennett (145) and Josh Sanders finished fifth, Corbin Turney (285) finished sixth and Jace Stockett (126) finished eighth.
The Hakws will wrestle again in the OVAC tournament Thursday through Saturday.
