MORGANTOWN — Neal Brown already made an impact on West Virginia’s roster in his first week on the job.
Junior right tackle Colton McKivitz announced on Twitter that he will return to the program for his senior season. McKivitz acknowledged the opportunity to be a leader as Brown begins a new era for Mountaineer football in his decision to forego the NFL Draft.
“After careful consideration and talking with my family, I have decided to return for my senior season and earn my degree at West Virginia University. I am excited to help lead this team as we start a new era under Coach Neal Brown,” McKivitz tweeted.
McKivitz, a notable snub on the all-Big 12 team, was projected by many to be taken late on the second day or early on the third day of this year’s NFL Draft. He will come back to anchor an offensive line that loses just one starter in senior left tackle Yodny Cajuste.
