CUMBERLAND, Md. — Despite having a six-point halftime lead, Preston was outscored 41-24 in the second half, falling to Fort Hill (Md.) 69-58.
Breanna Sphar was the leading scorer for Preston (7-3), netting 14 points and four 3-pointers in the loss. Michelle Thomas followed with 12 points and Carsynn Sines finished the game with 11.
The Knights will play again at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday against Laurel Highlands (Pa.).
