MARTINSBURG — The University High girls’ basketball team relied on its defense to pick up the win over Spring Mills on Saturday, winning 42-26.
The Hawks held Spring Mills to make just nine field goals in the contest — five of those baskets were 3-pointers.
Mallory Napolillo was the leading scorer for University (7-3) with 11 points. Ashten Boggs and Selena Jenkins each had 10, too.
University returns to action at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday against Brooke.
