RIPLEY — University’s wrestling team finished 2-1 in a quad-match Saturday, defeating Ripley (36-35) and Spring Valley (67-4), but fell to Class AAA No. 2 Parkersburg 38-33.
“We wrestled pretty well. We had it the way we wanted, just couldn’t get it done. It was a well wrestled match,” UHS coach Keith Maisel said about the loss to Parkersburg.
The Hawks will wrestle again at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in a tri-match with John Marshall and Morgantown in Glen Dale.
