A gunman robbed the Smoker Friendly in Pierpont Centre Monday night, taking an undisclosed amount of money.
Monongalia County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the store just before 6 p.m., Chief Deputy Al Kisner said Tuesday.
The suspect was described as a white man wearing a dark beanie, Steelers hoodie or jacket, black gloves, black and yellow flannel pajama pants and black tennis shoes with white soles, Kisner said.
A black handgun was used in the robbery.
After robbing the store, the suspect ran across the parking lot and got into a white pickup truck waiting in the Lowe’s Home Improvement parking lot, Kisner said.
He said the make and model of the truck is unknown, however the vehicle had a second person wearing a yellow jacket or hoodie who jumped into the passenger seat so the suspect could drive.
