Daisy Mae (Uphold) Sanders, 73, of Point Marion, Pa., passed away Monday, December 17, 2018, at her home, following a brief illness. Born in Morgantown on December 16, 1945, she was a daughter of the late John Uphold and Myra (McGilton) Uphold Lincoln.
Surviving are her four children and their spouses, Frank and Angela Uphold, of Lorain, Ohio, Mary and Joe Yakubec, of Masontown, Pa., David Sanders, of New Geneva, Pa., and Daisy and Raymond Graham, of Lake Lynn, Pa.; eight grandchildren and four-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are the following siblings and their spouses, Betty Sanders, of Masontown, Pa., Chuck and Wilma Lincoln, of Lake Lynn, Debbie and Buzz McCune, of Dilliner, Kathy and Donny Stewart, Roger and Sharon Lincoln, and Abraham Lincoln, all of Smithfield, Pa., Myra Lincoln, Sharlotte Lincoln, and David Lincoln, all of Point Marion, Pa., Mark Lincoln, of Lorain, Ohio, Ralph Lincoln, of Md., and Clyda Fullen, of Connellsville, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Sanders, in 1981; and by her longtime companion, Robert Lincoln, on April 17, 2018; a daughter, Myra Uphold; a brother, John Uphold, Jr.; and sisters, Mary Uphold and Patty Lincoln.
The family will receive friends in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, and from 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, until the 11 a.m. hour of service, with Ernie Dodson officiating. Interment follows in Fletcher Cemetery, in Cheat Lake.
