Violet R. Robison, 95, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday December 5, 2018, peacefully at her home. She was born August 14, 1923, in Arthurdale, a daughter of the late Noel and Pearl Trowbridge Simms.
Violet was an active member at Eden United Methodist Church. She sang in the church choir and was a member of the United Methodist Women. In her spare time she enjoyed flower gardening, feeding and watching birds, and listening to country music, especially Kenny Rogers. She was also a faithful viewer of The Price is Right.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Sullz, of Core, Beverly Robison, of Morgantown, Karen Pascasio and husband Rudy, of Weston; son, Joseph Robison, of Morgantown; grandchildren, David Michael Pascasio, Daniel Marcus Pascasio, Deanna Maria Pascasio, all of Weston; and one great-grandson, Kaleb Michael Pascasio.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Merrie Grace Robison; sons, William Robison, David Robison, Thomas Robison; sisters, Ruth Singleton, Virginia Wilson, Delma Flint; and her brothers, Leonard Simms, Theodore Simms, Jack Simms, Robert Simms, Dick Simms, and Elmo Trowbridge.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Violet’s caretaker, Billie Wiles and all of the staff and aides at Amedisys Hospice, for all of the care and support given to Violet over the years.
Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 5 – 8 p.m. on Sunday Dec. 9, and from noon on Monday, Dec. 10, until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Wanda Brosky officiating. Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery.
