BUCKHANNON — The Preston girls’ basketball team struggled shooting from the court Monday evening — making only two baskets on 23 attempts in the first half — and lost its first game of the regular season to Buckhannon-Upshur 56-30.
Michelle Thomas was the leading scorer for Preston (0-1) with 14 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Buckhannon-Upshur’s more balanced attack.
Preston will play again at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Washington (Pa.).
