MORGANTOWN — TaShala Turner, a WVU student reported missing Sunday, Dec. 2, has been found safe in Morgantown. University Police located Turner this evening. Officers and her family are with her now, WVU spokesperson April Kaull said Monday night.
West Virginia University Police investigated a report that Turner was missing and confirmed in a Twitter post that “…while there is a concern for TaShala’s well-being, we do not suspect foul play is involved at this time. UPD will continue to investigate this case.”
Social media reports said Turner had been missing since Nov. 27. Logs of her account transactions suggested she was in Florida at one point.
The Dominion Post archives show that Turner, now a member of the WVU cross country team, was a University High standout: Class AAA state meet runner-up her sophomore and senior years as well as a three-time all-state selection and a four time all-Ohio Valley Athletic Conference selection.
