MORGANTOWN — A man accused of stabbing someone Friday night was arrested by the Morgantown Police Department on Saturday.

Juan Kas Trechsel-Valerio, 36, of Morgantown, is charged with malicious wounding.

MPD responded to a disturbance about 6:40 p.m. Friday near the South High Street Bridge, according to a department press release. Two males and a female were involved.

Justin Mueller, 37, of Springfield, was stabbed multiple times in the upper torso and was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital, according to the release.

Mueller is still at Ruby Memorial and is listed in fair condition, according to WVU Medicine spokeswoman Angela Knopf.

A criminal complaint states Trechsel-Valerio stabbed Muller three times on his left side with a fixed-blade knife.
