MORGANTOWN — With Ohio State’s dominant win over Michigan, Oklahoma may be the biggest beneficiary. The Sooners, coming off a 59-56 road win against West Virginia on Friday night, move to the fringe of the top four, sitting behind No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Clemson, No. 3 Notre Dame and No. 4 Georgia.
Alabama and Georgia will face each other Saturday in the SEC Championship game in Atlanta, so Oklahoma could be in position to move into the top four if it can avenge a loss to Texas earlier this season in the Big 12 Championship in Arlington, Texas.
Ohio State moves into the 6th spot, while the rest of the top 10 is rounded out by Central Florida, Michigan, Washington and Washington State.
The Mountaineers drop to No. 13 as they have to sit back and watch this weekend after missing out on the Big 12 title game with the loss to the Sooners.
The AP poll will be released at about 2 p.m. Sunday.
