Dr. Russell “Bud” Lloyd Curtis Jr., passed away, Nov. 18, 2018, in Houston.
He was born in Elkins on March 6, 1938, to Russell Lloyd Curtis Sr. and Pauline Enlow Curtis.
Russell graduated in 1956 from Beverly High School, and earned his BA at West Virginia University. He moved to Houston in 1974. After 41 years at the University of Houston, Dr. Curtis retired in 2015.
He is survived by his four children, Matthew, Mark, Cristina and Caleb and their families who live in Texas. He is also survived by his sister, Delaine Curtis Furst; and brother, Thomas Enlow Curtis, of Vero Beach, Fla.
Services will be held at Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services, 1734 W. Alabama St., Houston, from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.
