George Molnar Sr., 93, of Morgantown, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 11, 2018. He was born July 26, 1925, to the late John and Mary (Copar) Molnar, in National.
He is survived by a son, Keith Molnar and spouse Nancy, of Farmington, Minn.; grandchildren, Than and spouse Betsy Buda, of Washington, Pa., Lael and spouse Michael Day, of Greensville, S.C., Brandon Molnar and spouse Emily, of Savage, Minn. and Cameron Molnar, of Olathe, Kan.; three great-grandchildren, Kai, Taj, Koa; and son-in-law, Russell Buda. He was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews.
George was a WWII veteran. He served in the Marines and toured in the Pacific Ocean. He retired from United Postal Service with over 20 years of service. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to Myrtle Beach, their special place.
In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years, Sarah; one son, George Molnar Jr.; daughter, Brenda Buda; two brothers; and two sisters.
In lieu of flower, donations in George’s honor may be made to Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church, 802 Green Bag Rd., Morgantown, WV 26508.
Family and friends will be welcomed at Fred Jenkins Funeral Home from 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, until the time of service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Nate Williamson and Rev. Sean Wightman. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
