Overturned log truck blocks traffic on W.Va. 7 near Masontown

MASONTOWN — W.Va. 7 was blocked for less than an hour Wednesday afternoon, after a log truck overturned at the drive to the Masontown Volunteer Fire Department.
Masontown Police Chief M.E. Hoefler said the truck tried to make a sharp turn from the road behind the Bridgeway Inn onto W.Va. 7 West and jackknifed.
The logs rolled onto the road. The cab did not turn over. The driver, Steve Adehart, was not injured.
“It was quite a production trying to get all the logs off of there, so they could turn [the truck] upright,” Hoefler said.
KTL Trucking, of Lake Lynn, Pa., “did a fantastic job, because they got all of that cleared up quickly,” Hoefler said.
The Masontown Volunteer Fire Department directed traffic and checked the driver for injuries. The Preston County Sheriff’s Department also assisted at the scene.
