Sarah Kaye Garlitz, 69, of Terra Alta, died Monday, November 5, 2018, at home with family by her side.
The daughter of the late Earl Nine and Iris Root Lucabaugh, she was born August 9, 1949, in Morgantown.
She was a member of the White Oak Church. She was a loving wife, mother, Nana and friend and was known as “Momma Kaye” to coworkers and friends. She had a strong faith in her Lord. She was a seamstress, loved cooking and baking, singing and playing her quitar. She was strong minded, and a very hard worker. Kaye was someone you could always count on.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Larry Ray Garlitz I; a daughter and spouse, YoLanda and Bert Sarraga; two sons and spouses, Larry Ray Garlitz II and Dee and Robert Waylon Garlitz and Kristy all of Terra Alta; four sisters, Connie Plum of Cleveland, OH, Karen Turkovich of York, PA, Carrie Nine of Warren, OH and Twila Nezbeth of Southington, OH; six grandchildren: Dakota, Chase, Makala, Caden, Silas and Brynley Garlitz; and many other special family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Asa “Pepper” Nine.
Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 Friday, November 9, 2018 at the White Oak Church until the 11:00 time of service with Pastor Ron Funk officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
