MORGANTOWN — With the release of the final WVSSAC football playoff ratings, Morgantown High was the 14th seed and will face 3-seed Capital in the first round.
The Mohigans (5-5) won their last two games against John Marshall and University to thrust themselves into the top 16. The Hawks, on the other hand, were passed by Greenbrier East, Hurricane and Spring Mills during the bye week to miss out on the postseason for the first time since 2015.
MHS will play Capital (9-1) at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
