Milka (Zilkanich) Christopher, 94, of Westover, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at her residence.
She was born in Morgantown, on April 29, 1924, the daughter of the late Stanley Zilkanich and the late Mary (Czgon) Zilkanich.
Milka grew up in Morgantown and graduated from Morgantown High School. She enjoyed gardening and especially loved growing flowers.
She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Buchsbaum and Debbie Christopher, both of Morgantown; grandchildren, Nathaniel Buchsbaum, of Brooklyn, N.Y., Rachael Buchsbaum, of Morgantown, Michael Buchsbaum, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jordan Wishart ,of Morgantown; and one great-granddaughter, Emrey Wishart.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Christopher; son Charles W. Christopher, II; son-in-law, Roy Buchsbaum; granddaughter, Jennifer Lemming; along with 11 siblings.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home from 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, until the time of the memorial service at 3 p.m. with Elder Dennis Thomas, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 379 Smithtown Rd. Morgantown WV 26508.
