MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A 49-year old male fan intentionally jumped off the upper deck of Milan Puskar Stadium during West Virginia’s game against Baylor on Thursday night, according to a release sent out by the university.
The man was in Section 134 and climbed and jumped over the wall of the South Concourse after getting into verbal altercations with fellow fans. He fell on to a concrete concourse, according to the report.
The release said Contemporary Services Corporation Event Staff, University Police, State Police and emergency crews responded immediately, and he was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment.
His name was not released and there are no reports on how seriously he was injured.
