MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — .Junior Adam Hensley spent most of the fourth quarter at Dylan Tonkery’s middle linebacker spot for West Virginia in the Mountaineers’ 38-22 win against Kansas on Saturday.
Mountaineers’ defensive coordinator Tony Gibson said Tonkery was “hobbled a little bit.”
Fellow linebacker David Long said Hensley filled in just fine.
“Next man in, gotta come in and make plays,” Long said. “Hensley did a great job of doing that.”
Hensley made two tackles.
