Louise Vickers

Louise M. Vickers, 99, of Jersey Ave., in Morgantown, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018, at the home of her granddaughter, Beth Ann Shay-Stidom in Frankford.  She was born July 19, 1919, in Westernport, Md., daughter to Walter and Anna Blotneck Shank.
Louise was a member of  Highland Park United Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed traveling when she was able and was a homemaker for many years.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Patricia Strakal, of Morgantown; son, Joseph Vickers, of Morgantown; one sister Betty Potts and husband Jim, of Memphis, Tenn.;  four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Joseph Vickers, Sr. and siblings, Ellwood, ‘Bud’, Mary and Walter, Jr, ‘June’.
Family will receive friends at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 5 – 7 p.m.  on Thursday, October 4,  and from 10 a.m. on Friday, October 5,  until time of services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Stephen Prince officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
