Norma L. Jeffries, 82, of Westover, formerly of Stewartstown, passed away suddenly Thursday, September 27, 2018, at her home. Born December 1, 1935, in Shock, she was a daughter of the late James Skidmore and Irene (Cottrell) Zinn.
A faithful member of the Morgantown Restoration Branch of Jesus Christ for many years, she also attended the former Golden Pointers Senior Citizens in Point Marion.
Norma was predeceased by her beloved husband, William I. Jeffries, Sr. on May 9, 2007. Also preceding her in death is a sister, Donna Skidmore and two brothers, Richard in infancy and Raymond Skidmore.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, William and Linda Jeffries, Jr., of Pittsburgh, Bradley and Miranda Jeffries, of Morgantown, Kelly and Perry Strawser, of Arthurdale, and Kendra and Michael Ammons, of Westover, with whom she made her home for the past seven years; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, in Point Marion, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, October 1, and in the Morgantown Restoration Branch of Jesus Christ Church, 28 Eden Church Road, in Morgantown, from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, until the 11 a.m. hour of service, with her nephew, Elder Jerry Shiflett officiating. Interment follows in Zion Cemetery, in Cheat Lake.
