It’s shaping up to be a battle of running backs at Pony Lewis Field on Friday.
Morgantown enters Week six averaging 182 rushing yards per game, carrying the ball on 152 of its 201 snaps.
Musselman, meanwhile, has averaged 275 yards per game on the ground this fall, with 154 carries on 197 plays.
With each team so potent in their rushing attack, bringing the “A-game” run-wise will be a focal point for both teams.
The Applemen have proved the more explosive team in 2018, finding the end zone on average twice as much as Morgantown. However, the true difference maker may come on defense — the Mohigans have nabbed 13 takeaways through five games this season, which could spell disaster for an Applemen squad that has been flawless when it comes to turning over the football.
