Clay-Battelle at Calhoun County, 7 p.m.
The Cee-Bees look to have their work cut out for them headed into Week six.
Other than a grueling 2 1/2-hour bus trip to Mt. Zion, Clay-Battelle seems to be in good shape going into the game. Their opponents enter on a four-game losing streak — their only victory coming in the season-opener against Wirt County — and average just 10 points per game. In their last three games, they have been outscored 137-30.
The trip may provide just the opportunity the Cee-Bees need to get back on track after their worst start since 2015. Reeling from a 51-10 loss to Tygarts Valley, Clay-Battelle enters averaging 207 yards per game. Still, if they can hit their season average of 27 points per game, that should be more than enough to get a win this week.
Turnovers could prove to be a large factor, with the Cee-Bees earning 10 so far this season, with seven coming in their two wins.
