Cathy Lynn Keener Brown, 52, of Route 100, Morgantown, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
She was born June 30, 1966, daughter to Harold and Charlotte Hinkle Keener.
Cathy loved gardening, landscaping and tending to her flower beds. She also enjoyed camping with friends and family.
Cathy is survived by her husband, James Brown; stepson, Garrett Brown Jr. and wife, Christina, of Greensboro, Pa.; stepdaughters, Veronica Eddy, of Greensboro, Angela Boggs and husband, Lenard ,of Marion, Iowa, and Tammy Brown, of Davistown, Pa.; and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Rick Keener, James “Moke” Keener and Joe Keener, all of Cassville; one sister, Donna Marks and husband, Cliff, of Dilliner, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Richard Keener.
Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Friday, and from noon Saturday, Sept. 22, until the 1 p.m. service with Pastor Willard Rowan officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
