Carol Dove Hurst, 91, passed away Wednesday morning, September 12, 2018, peacefully in the early morning at her home.
Born December 9, 1926, in Princeton, she was the youngest daughter of Doc and Nora Dove.
Carol was a faithful member of the New Hope United Methodist Church and a retired school teacher having taught for 27 years in Mercer County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, James “Ken” Hurst; along with an infant son, Bobby.
Survivors include her three children, Dr. Michael K. Hurst, of Morgantown, Douglas L. Hurst, of Lewisburg, and Becky Honaker, of Princeton; along with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family has honored Carol’s request, her body has been gifted to the WVU Human Gift Program.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at the New Hope United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. on November 24.
