MORGANTOWN — Jessica Marie Boord, of Uniontown, Pa., was identified as the passenger killed in a crash Tuesday on Point Marion Road.
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department identified the 29-year-old in a press release Thursday.
At 11:58 p.m. Thursday, deputies with the sheriff’s department responded to a single-vehicle crash, near Warm Hollow Road.
Robert G. Vanluvanee was traveling south on Point Marion Road when he lost control of his vehicle while going around a curve, sending the 2003 Ford Explorer over the side of a hill.
Boord was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Vanluvanee was transported to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Angela Knopf, WVU medicine spokesperson, told The Dominion Post there was no patient with that name Thursday afternoon.
Chief Deputy Al Kisner said charges, such as failure to maintain control, may be pending against Vanluvanee, but the investigation is still on-going.
