MORGANTOWN — Students, teachers and parents came together at the WVU Child Learning Center on Tuesday to remember and celebrate a former classmate.
Jaxen Kettler, the late son of Andy and Kim Kettler, died in July 2016 from childhood cancer. He was 2 and was a student at the center.
Andy was the WVU men’s basketball strength coach from 2008 until earlier this year. He left WVU in April for a similar position with Louisville’s team.
Jaxen’s family returned to Morgantown to mark his birthday and celebrate at the WVU Child Learning Center.
Jennifer Ireland, with the center, said an outdoor classroom and garden were dedicated Tuesday in Jaxen’s name.
