Wilbur Lee Talbert, 82, of Morgantown, formerly of Daybrook, died Tuesday, August 28, 2018, in the Madison Nursing and Rehab Center.
He was born January 26, 1936, at Brownsville, Pa., a son of Wilbur Talbert and Icel Ammons Talbert.
Mr. Talbert worked at many jobs throughout his lifetime and last worked as a mechanic. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cowen and was a member of the Senior Monongalians of Morgantown.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Timmy and Candy Talbert, of Daybrook and Terry and Sandy Talbert, of Erbacon; two grandchildren, Jennifer Talbert and David Talbert; and one great-grandson, Gavin Talbert Rakes.
In addition to his parents Mr. Talbert was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Talbert; one brother, Billy Talbert; one sister, Anna Mae Talbert; and one grandson, Timothy Scott Talbert.
A graveside service will be held at the Olive Cemetery, in Pentress, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, with the Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home, in Blacksville, is in charge of arrangements.
