KINGWOOD — With school opening this week, some Preston County Schools have open houses scheduled. They are:
- Aurora — 6-8 p.m. Monday.
- Bruceton — 5-7 p.m. Monday.
- Fellowsville — 4-6 p.m. Monday.
- Kingwood — 4-6 p.m. Tuesday. Not all teachers will be available.
- Preston High — 4-6 p.m. Monday, freshman orientation.
- Rowlesburg — 5-7 p.m. Monday.
- South Preston — 4-6 p.m. Monday.
- Terra Alta/East Preston — 5-7:30 p.m. Aug. 30.
- West Preston — 6-7:30 p.m. Aug. 28 for pre-k through fourth; 5-7:30 p.m. Aug. 29 for fifth through eighth.
Central Preston held its open house last week.
The first day of school for first through 12th grades will be Tuesday. The first day of school for kindergarten students will be Thursday, and for pre-K school will begin Aug. 27.
