GRANVILLE — Osvaldo Bido pitched seven scoreless innings, leading the West Virginia Black Bears over the Williamsport Crosscutters in a 4-1 win on Friday, in front of 2,325 fans inside Monongalia County Ballpark.
The Black Bears (23-36) have won five of their past six games.
Conner Loeprich got Seth Lancaster to ground out with runners on first and second to end the game for his fourth save of the season.
Bido (3-5) allowed three hits while striking out seven to pick up the win.
West Virginia started the scoring with a big sixth inning, when it crossed the plate for four runs, including a two-run single by Jhoan Herrera.
Following the big inning, the Crosscutters cut into the deficit in the eighth inning when Jesse Wilkening scored on a ground out.
Rafael Carvajal took the loss. He went went two innings, allowing four runs and four hits.
