Lawrence Dale Wilkins Sr. (Buck), age 73, of Mt. Morris, Pa. died Tuesday, August 14, 2018, in JW Ruby Memorial Hospital, in Morgantown.
Mr. Wilkins was born March 10, 1945, in Mt. Morris, the son of the late Arch Sylvester and Lena P. Davis Wilkins.
On July 19, 1965, Buck married Dorothy King Wilkins who passed away on December 20, 2017.
Mr. Wilkins is survived by three sons, Lawrence (Buck) Wilkins Jr. (Shawna), of Morgantown, Jerry Wilkins (Belinda), of Mt. Morris. Pa., and Timothy Wilkins (Kelly), of Bobtown, Pa.; his beloved grandchildren, Jerry Jr., Makayla, Chelsie, Shalie Wilkins, and Amy Hughes; great-grandchildren, Jerry Wilkins III and Aubrianna Wise; a brother, Ray Wilkins (Heather), of Hamilton, Ohio; sisters, Evelyn Rose (Junior), of Mt. Morris, Pa., Vadna Jean Neer, of Bruceton Mills, and a special sister, Linda Huggins (Bob), of Davistown, Pa.; and a lifelong friend, Duke Hinerman.
Deceased in addition to his parents and wife are sisters; Maxine Turner and Mary Ellen Kerns, and a brother, Arch Wilkins.
Buck was a retired coal miner from the Humphries #7 mine. He was a proud member of the U.M.W.A. District 31, Local 1058.
He enjoyed camping at Big Bear Lake with his family, the classic cars he owned, and 50’s and 60’s music.
Buck requested no services.
