FAIRMONT — A call for a possible overdose led to the arrest of one man, and the seizure of large amount drugs and thousands of dollars on Thursday, in Fairmont.
According to a press release issued by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, officers responded to 15 Brightwood Drive after receiving a call for a reported drug overdose.
Upon arrival, they saw drug paraphernalia inside the house. The owner, Stephen Haller, was on home confinement, and was therefore subject to search.
During the search, deputies found more than 200 Xanax pills, about 16 grams of crystal meth, 1.7 grams of suspected heroin, more than 20 other narcotic pills and $2,150 in cash.
Haller was arreted and taken to the North Central Regional Jail, on a home confinement violation.
Additional charges are pending.
The incident remains under investigation.
