Rumy Hilloowala, Morgantown
On the Fourth of July in 2007, our community dedicated a fountain in the Monongahela River, in the vicinity of the Hazel Ruby McQuain Park and Amphitheater.
As of mid-summer, 2016, the fountain was inactive for reasons known only to the powers that be.
Considering the involved plans and the huge sum of money in the planned upgrading of the area, one hopes that a fountain to replace the obsolete one will be incorporated in these plans. The former fountain was a scenic delight and a favorite of spectators.
